Sculpture I made while taking a Sculpture class at Yale with Daphne Fitzpatrick. The idea was inspired from two recipes for the the School of Art Cookbook which I mashed up. One is for how to make your own maple syrup by tapping a Maple tree and the other is for making letter shaped pancakes. I made the fake syrup tap with a two-part Urethane that freezes quickly. I made the pancakes out of plaster and then painted them to look like pancakes. I installed it in the stairwell of the Edgewood building next to the water and steam pipes.
