At the end of last semester, I had offerered to take on the soap area that Rachel Berger and Ian Jamieson had built for the Antenna workshop. They built the area so that each students could have their own soap, sponge and towel to wash dishes and prevent dirty dishes from building up.
For the workshop with Karel Martens this fall we were given the word "Domain" as our reference point. I decided to use the soap area for this project. Therefore, I took pictures of everyone's desk in the atrium, reduced each image to 3 different colors by converting the image in photoshop to a small pixelated image. I then used these three colors to determine each student's soap, sponge and towel color. I based the order for the row of oap on the studens seating chart in the atrium. Each students towels and bottles were labeled with his/her initials.
